The 425P-A3-AA is the laser only variant and is the “modified style” that does not tie to an NSN, and that we consider a COTS item. This incorporates the new B.E. Meyers & Co. retained flip cap (almost identical to the flip cap used on our GLARE MOUT Plus/ LA-13/P for the Green Laser Interdiction Systems program with PEO Soldier, referred to as our “GDS” cap).
The Overall Length is 9.0” with BEM GDS cap. Since this is just the laser by itself, usually it is purchased for handheld use (i.e. JTAC, Commander’s Pointer, etc.). This is the laser that is supplied whenever a request comes in that does not tie to an NSN (i.e. via direct quote, TLS vendors, international orders, etc.).
