LA-22/U

The LA-22/U is an advanced Ocular Interruption System (OIS) capable of providing effective hail and warning for any escalation of force scenario. By integrating our patented SmartRange™ technology with our proven green laser capabilities, the LA-22/U allows the Marine to provide immediate and recognizable visual warning from 4m to 20 km and beyond while remaining at eye safe levels.

The powerful green beam sends an obvious signal to halt or move away regardless of language barriers. A powerful veiling glare and can be used to determine the intent of potential threats in any environment. It is equally suited to being used hand-held, weapon mounted via MIL-STD-1913 rails, or integrated into a remote weapons station.

The integration of SmartRange™ technology ensures that the onboard laser rangefinder (LRF) and green emission diode are constantly communicating to ensure output remains Eye Safe regardless of distance. Variable divergence allows the operator to scale the beam between .23° and 4° to effectively hail and warn individuals, vessels, vehicles or groups. A selectable pulse mode allows the user and additional level of communication to serve as an overwhelming visual signal and deterrent to potential threats. The U.S. Marine Corps recently designated the LA-22/U as sole source winner of the Ocular Interrupter System (OIS) program.
