July 27, 2026. U.S. Green Berets assigned 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and U.S. Marine Raiders assigned to the 2nd Raider Battalion were seen training together during exercise Storm Flag Pope on Camp Lejeune, July 17, 2026. The Marine Raiders were utilizing US SOCOM's latest standard issue laser aiming modular, the SAL-UHP / LA-30 based on the B.E. Meyers & Co. DAGIR®-V1
Storm Flag Pope 26-04 is a U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command exercise designed to enhance joint force interoperability among U.S. military branches and international partners, including the U.S. Special Forces, U.S. Marine Raiders, U.S. Pararescue, and the Royal Canadian Air Force. The exercise serves as critical mobility training designed to certify members across diverse career fields and multiple military branches to enhance operational readiness.
