The Stealth 301 Day/Night Surveillance Camera is a non-intensified auto low-light adjusting system that can combine a laser illuminator to enable full 24-hr vision to ranges in excess of one mile. It provides color video during day surveillance and monochrome low light high resolution images during night application. The camera is equipped with an 18x optical zoom, allowing for identification or recognition of small objects from long ranges. Customers include the US Military, foreign and domestic law enforcement, and DHS. The Stealth Color Camera System senses the light level, controlling the “Automatic Exposure Enhancement”. When power is applied, the light sensors will send signals to multiple micro-processors and buffer memories which select the correct exposure for the existing ambient light levels. As the light level diminishes, the exposure time will be increased to produce a perfect image on the monitor while the same scene to eyesight will be noticeably darker. As total darkness descends, the camera will shift out of the color mode and into a highly sensitive black and white mode. At this time the camera optical path will also change and refocus for use with infrared illuminators. During this switch over period, any infrared illuminators will also be activated. As morning approaches and the light level increase, the camera will once again refocus and shift into the color mode for daytime surveillance, as well as deactivate the infrared illuminators.
