OWL Night Vision Scopes

The OWL^® family of Generation 3 (image-intensified) night vision scopes includes the OWL^®, Prowler™, and SuperOWL™. All three models offer unparalleled diversity and open adaptability. Each scope is equipped with an integrated protection circuit called Image Guard™. This critical feature helps prevent accidental damage to the intensifier tube by shutting down or preventing operation in high-bright situations. The OWLs each include a 20 mW LED IR illuminator, enabling clear vision regardless of ambient lighting. Each OWL can be equipped with either an ocular (rear) eyepiece lens (allowing direct viewing of the phosphor screen) or it can be used with a variety of COTS camera systems for recording and transmitting of images. B.E. Meyers has connected this NV scope to thousands of different video and still camera models through simple relays (adaptors) and brackets that we custom manufacture. Another strength of the OWL scope is the C-mount threaded lens system which enables the use of any existing or future lens. B.E. Meyers sells a variety of lenses – some of the most popular lenses for use with this scope are the 28-210mm zoom lens, 100-300mm zoom lens, 500mm lens and 1300mm telescopic lens. The choice of lens depends solely upon the goals of that particular operation (for example, surveillance distances needed, identifiable video vs. simple recognition, plate ID). Primary applications for this system are Department of Homeland Security and domestic law enforcement surveillance and operations, military reconnaissance and FAC observation. This Generation 3 monocular pocket-scope is a standard Mil-Spec night vision device.
