Dr. Gregory J. Quarles has been appointed as the new President and Chief Operating Officer of B.E. Meyers. Quarles brings extensive leadership experience in developing and executing corporate growth and technology plans. Most recently as the Director of Corporate Research, Development and Technology for II-VI Incorporated, Quarles led the development of new solid- state laser materials and laser devices for medical, military and industrial applications. His previous experience at II-VI includes managing corporate R&D budgets exceeding $25M annually, leading federal government interactions, and directing the oversight of the corporate technology roadmap, including delegation to each of the various subsidiaries. 

In his new role, Quarles will drive the rapid business and technological growth that B.E. Meyers has already achieved in the field of lasers and other electro-optic devices. “Dr. Quarles’ knowledge of laser technology, as well as his extensive experience in executive roles, including his latest position managing the research sections of his current company’s many subsidiaries, fits perfectly with B.E. Meyers’ long-range goals,’’ said Brad Meyers, founder and CEO.
